Hello I was wondering if i could have a 50G Eel/Bichir Tank. I would like to have a Senegal Bichir,a Tiretrack eel, a Fire eel, and a RopeFish. Would this work the tank is a 50Gallon Breeder. Anything else that would go good with these Creatures. Preferabley something strange.

Thank,you

bichirs can be terriorial towards their own kind and some times mistake eels for other bichirs, I have seen people keep rope fish with bichirs, they are related and both from africa, so you could do an african themed tank.

Why would he need to do an "African themed" tank? That's not what he was asking. There are plenty of unique fish out there that you can get. However it would be in your best interest to do more research these types and compatibility issues of each fish you plan on putting into your tank.

I don't think anyone said he NEEDED to do an African tank. It was just a friendly suggestion.

im going for tank almost the same but hoping for a well planted 90 with angels as well but the bichir /eel combo looks great from what i have seen .

Fire Eels are supposed to be aggressive to conspecifics, and both the fire and tiretrack would need a tank double that size anyway. 50G is too small for most of those fish...

yea I was just suggesting :(

I agree with groveitudedude you need a bigger tank for those two eels they get big 2 or 3 feet i think. It would work better with a peacock eel instead.
as for other fish a bushy nose pleco and/or a smaller knife like an african brown knife would work
