I've introduced a 5" senegal with my two big 11" senegals a month or so ago and since it has grown massively and they all follow each other around . here's a few pics. strangely the ornate used to hang around with one of the big senegals and my endli used to hang around with the other but now the senegals have made a family and the ornate and endli are best mates!

Nice polypterus community there, marvinbaker. :) Consider seperating the ornate and endlicheri from the senegalus group in the near future, if you ever happen to see any spawning behavior display from your senegalus'... you just may never know?!! ;) GL and enjoy!

looks like something i'd love to have! nice family!

why would you consider seperating them? would that increase the chance of breeding? i've got a tank growing some red devil babies at the moment and once they get big enough i was considering moving them to there and getting another endli for my big tank. would the rd's get on with them? they're only a cm long at the moment so my senegals would eat them if i tried it now.

Phulltank I see you also are the proud owner of a channa aurantimaculata, I purchased mine about 3 months ago now and he's growing so quick, from about 4 1/2" when i got him to a good 11" now! how big's yours? he used to spend all the time at the top but recently i purchased a lot of live plants and now he spends a lot of time sitting in them or on the bottom. is this normal? what do you feed him on? mine eats prawns mostly.

he's surprisingly peaceful i've found as long as he's well fed. you can see him on
