I've had these guys for going on 3 years now. They're all about 9-10" long, and are permanent residents in my grow-out tank. They're more for my fiance than they are for myself. They're very sweet natured, nice break from the jag and pbass. Figured I'd toss up some pics for others to enjoy, too. We'll start with big bichir, the merry leader of the bunch, and total CAMERA HAM. Doesn't mind the flash, and LOVES the light meter.
"Doot de doot, I am swimmin--- WHOA HEY the human is taking PICTURES!!!!"

"Using natural light is sweet of you! Makes me look blurry though. You should save it for those OTHER spastic fish..."

"Because the flash means that SOMETHING is happening!"

"I'm ready for my close-up!"

"What do you mean this is as close as you can get?!"
