Fairly self explanatory... I have an empty 29, standard dimensions of 30x12x18. Doesn't even have water yet so it'll be a couple weeks before any fish. I do have a well established (and empty except for a couple snails) 10 to start a tiny bichir in but I was wondering if the 29 could be a forever home for an albino senegal. I've read that the cbb senegals are typically shorter than normal and albinos are typically shorter than normal but I'm not quite sure if that is enough to overcome the size difference between the 29 and 30. Input would be appreciated as internet searches have yielded results both ways.

I started mine in a 29 for a few months then moved it to a 55. They are among the most active polys, so I would say a 55 is the min. For a full grown Senegal.

They are great fish I really enjoyed mine. I say get one if you have tank for one.

CB sens only grow to a max of 7 to 9 inches so It'll be fine for a long time.

I have 3 senegals growing out in a 3' long 35g. PLENTY of room. I bought them as small fry, I thought they would outgrow it quickly but it's been well over a year and they still are happy about 5" maybe 6".

I would say iits fine. Albinos also tend to grow smaller then regular so I think it will be fine up till 5" then if it grows to 6.5 then move it but that wont be for a long time!

my albino didn't grow for a year!

I got mine at round 3-4" and was about 9-10" with in the first year after. It would be ok for a while in a 29. Like I said just because how active they are I'd say a larger tank is needed.
