I keep seeing Senegal’s and I really like them. However the only possible tank I have that one might work in is a 75 gallon with two lyonsi cichlid. Should I put my birchir plans on hold or could that tank and tankmates work for a Senegal’s lifetime? It has plenty of caves and driftwood center piece if that helps

Sounds like it could work. I have kept senegals with a bunch of american cichlids and noticed the american's completely ignore the senegals. Just be careful that the hides are bichir safe and they won't get stuck in them and drown. Other than that I think it could work. Just keep an eye on it.

I would say no. Lyonsi arent out right murders but definitly not chumps, plus you have a pair. Long term the tank is probably too small for them. The sen would be a sitting duck
