So today I was trying to get a picture of my Senegal with my del and the Senegal started burping up air. Then out came a bunch of undigested/half digest pellets (Hikari carnivore) that I fed 16 hours ago. How would I know if she had a blockage? She was pooping out the same red poo she gets after I feed pellets; literally at the same time she was spitting up so stuff definitely went through. I've seen her throw up the pellets a couple times before but that's usually shortly after eating them. I've never seen her throw up any other food. I've made a shift away from pellets lately to frozen foods and I'm only feeding them to get rid of what I have left. Is it possible she just got stuffed? Or has developed some intolerance since she doesn't get them often? Tank is an over filtered planted 75g mixed gravel/sand substrate, ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate <20, 40% pwc 1-2 times per week (dumb tannis drives me nuts), temp low 80's. I sucked up all the bits I could get and did a 20% wc (did the regular 40% yesterday) to clear out the rest. I'll post the pics I got of it from my phone. You guys have any idea what's going on? Thanks...

Judging from the pics there are no pebbles that can be swallowed by the sen, well I think it might be intolerance yes, or it's just their thing, my senegals also somehow vomit pellets before they eat it, I mean after chewing their food they will spew it out then chew it on again, I suggest on the next feeding before you offer the pellets do soak it in water.

I know there are pebbles small enough to swallow but I purposefully feed away from them; she'd have to actively seek them out to swallow one. I think I'll just throw out the 1/4 bag of pellets (thankfully it's a small one) and stick to the live/frozen diet she's been getting. Not worth the fish vomit, which is probably the grossest thing I've seen all week lol.

I was about to suggest a slight diet change to see if it still does it too, fish vomit is the worst. When I tried feeding cut shrimp my ery ery wolf decided all 3 full shrimp (cut up) were for him and scared my bichirs away and mowed it all down. Then proceeded to puke it back out. Did a WC like an hour later haha

It could be not digesting right, saw my cousins sen throw up meal worm shells, still its their staple diet and don't see any problems so far
