My Senegal, that I have had for a little over a month has a pinkish red butt. It looks like the color may be coming from inside of him. He has looked the same since I've had him. It is very slight, barely noticable. His bichir turds are also sometimes a redish pink but Ive been feeding him with oceanic plankton (frozen) and its almost the exact same color. Is this something to worry about or is it possible he just has some unique coloring? He eats like a monster and seems to be real happy. He is still small, at around 4.5 inches. He is a a 60 gal with one leopard cntenopoma.
