senegal worm question

i have a couple 3 inch sens
I feed earth worms
one is nice and round but the other has a couple little bumps sticking out, I think its pieces of worm.
is this normal or is something wrong

give it a couple of days if it doesnt go away then you can start worrying

i haven't fed since this Wednesday, and its been about a week since he got these.
could there be a problem?

river rocks, there from 1/2 to 1 inch in diameter

i do have some little snails tho. he could has eaten a couple
