My LFS just got in a few albino Senegal at about 3 to 4 inches would I be correct in assuming that my cichlids would probably tear it to shreds?

Just double checking my initial thoughts thank you for any input in advance

i dont think the cichlids will bother the bichir. there pretty buff and could protect them selves.

watch out for the jag, a 8-9" jag ate my 2-3" senegalese but other then that have good hiding spots because birchirs are bottom feeders!

I am more worried about the big Dovii the jag is on his way out of my tank because he is not allowed to leave the corner of the tank without losing his tail

Kinda answered your own question there.Polypterids should really be kept with non agressive species and should especially not be kept with a possible breeding pair of cichlids-Anne
