I know many of us keep angels in with our bichirs. But how many of you have noticed your angels going after your bichirs?

Mine goose my senegals in the butt when they are basking under the lights after they eat. And nip their front fins. :irked:

I had to take one of mine out of the tank for this and the angel was only about 1-2 inches.

Now the tank is a 55g. So there was plenty of hiding spots, and room for all.

Some angels are more aggressive than others, so I could understand why they'd do that.

A buddy of mine keeps a bunch of bichirs and angels in his show tank and all is well.

When I first added my sen my cycle gourami was a bit nippy I think the sen must have nipped back 'cause the gourami has quit chasing him around the tank

one of the lps Not the one I got my sen from had a PUFFER in with their sens they all have torn fins. the puffer is gone now I really hope they regrow them

The Sens? Oh yeah they will for sure. I got one from Walmart, with only one fin. Was nipped right down to the nub! I used Melafix and it healed right up in a week and started growing back. Almost fully grown back now.

I keep 18 bichirs, 6 angels, and 4 clown loaches as a community in a 125. I only noticed the angels nipping at other angels but never at the bichirs. Some angels can be pretty nasty but I've been fortunate so far to have well behaved angels. The two biggest bichirs in the tank is a 12" delhezi and 12" polli palmas. The rest of the angels are around 6"-10".
