Senegal's size and aggressiveness?

I'm thinking about getting my first bichir I know right?

I have been researching their max. size and it says about 18 inches, is this in the wild or as pets?

Would they be OK with these fish? Tank is a 55g.

• Firemouth
• 3-Spot Gourami
• Zebra Danios (can be moved)
• Clown Barb
• Pictus Catfish
• Blue Ram
• Von Rio Tetras

They get closer to a foot.

mine went from 3 inches to about 9-10 inches in about 4 month or so. I do not see a prob with anything unless it can fit in it's mouth. usually non aggressive, mine gets along with everything.

alittle ways down the road those tetra's and maybe the rams could be seen as a meal for a full grown sen, but growing with them might change his mind if you keep him well fed.

I would say just about 12''. Never seen one over that size in an aquarium and both of mine seem to have stopped growing at around 12'' Also they are peaceful as long as they cannot fit the other fish in there mouth.

Pretty much All of your tank will be bichir fodder very quickly. What size is this tank? And biggest WC is 17.5" they'll only get 8"-12"
