Senegalus Pig

My little 3.5" Sen just ate a chunk of frozen beef heart that was bigger than her head whole! Quite entertaining.
I love these fish, and decided im going to look for more Polys around, they are just too fun!

my 3 to 3.5 inch delhezis eat like 5 2 inch whitebaits each.

good to hear I t was wondering if mine little 3.5" sen was getting too much food cleaning up after my knife and stealing his food
my knife eats but is a little slow
while he is getting started my little sen swims over eats his own shrimp pellets then starts eating everything else edible on the bottom of the tank
At least I've gotten a little better portioning frozen foods

I was wondering if mine were overeating too but I guess it's normal....lol.

They pig out and eat whenever food is in the tank. You've got to be careful not to over feed, or he may end up vomiting (like mine), and that just mucks up water quality.

Yeah, my Senegal too is a pig, Yesterday he ate a piece of shrimp the size of his heard. It took him five minutes for him to jam it down his throat. When he did it resulted in a bulging stomach. Then again, I think I'd rather have a voracious pig than a fish who doesn't eat much at all, like me ornate. It's a beautiful fish, more aesthetically appealing than my senegal, but what's the point if it just sits around?

Yeah I just feed mine enough for them to look slightly "pregnant" lol.
