I'm thinking of getting a platinum senegal bichir and I already have a BGK and some angelfish. I know that both r mostly peaceful but still feel like asking around. Did anyone keep the two together and what was their experience?

The funny thing is, they seem to be a pair because there is a hole in a rock that the both of them live in.

I had this combo years ago. I didn't work out too well. The male senegal and the BGK were always nipping at each other. I know of many people who have kept this combo with no issues, but my pairing sure didn't work.
