i have 2 senegalus juvis and one is getting biger and fatter.
but also getting very white ,is losing the brown color
is this normal

How long has this been going on?
Does he still eat?
Have you seen him defficate?
You might want to put im in a tank by himself for a wile. With no substrate or sand <-- Sand is a MUST for theses guys.

what do you feed it?
What sort of liting does he get?
Is it white patches or is he fading evenly?

is just fading all over the body
eats like a champ i can notice grow its the first to hunt gambusias plus they gette prawns ,mussels ,beefheart ,small white fish that is use to go fishing .
very active

That back one looks like a Polypterus bichir lapradei to me, def. not a senegalus. Nice bichir!

have 2 senegalus and 2 lampradei (sold as palmas)

its ok that its fading, i prefer my senegalus turning to white than grey though, also nice lapradei

That is weird. I have had a few Senagals but have never seen or heard of fadeing. As long as he is still active and looks healthy I would just go with the flow.
