so it just happened. I was looking around for it and couldn't see it. my dog started sniffing around the side of the tank and sure enough it was on the ground. picked it up droped it in the toilet and it started flailing around for a second. I screamed its alive! and took him out and put him into a tank. he gasped for air a few times shook around a little. then stopped for awhile. then did it again. and again. thought he was gonna make it. not looking like it tho :( could of been on the ground up to 4 hours. so sad. he was plumping up way better than the other one. sad sad day.

The tank should have been the first stop.It might pull through, try holding it near where the water is agitated the most so the sen takes in high amounts of oxygen.

I held a air bubbler under it for 10 mins. seemed to get a little life. then nothing. then a little life.....etc....

The shock from the cold toilet water might have done him it but hopefully it recovers.

Put some salt in there and take some pics so we can see the extent

Well sorry for your loss, but next time throw it in the tank first and make sure it's dead don't just assume. Polys are a unique fish that can sustain an unusual amount of pain and stress so you'd be surprises how long they can go out of water.

It's true. I'm embarrassed of the conditions my sen. has survived over the decade I've had him.

Sorry for your loss.
