I think 3 cons seems like kind of a bad idea in and of itself. If you end up with a pair, that third wheel could be beaten up pretty badly (although in a 55 with lots of hiding places, it could possible work). I'd also be a little worried about the bichir as while they are predatory, they aren't really aggressive and could get picked on
im not so sure of that. ive kept a trio of convicts before, and the male was constantly breeding with BOTH females. wether or not it was a rare situation or not, its possible for a trio to get along fine.
i dont exactly reccomend it however, seeing as 1 male and 1 female will stress out anything else in the tank while breeding, nevermind 3 breeding
Well, I've had trios of cichlids (though never cons) in the past and always ended up with a pair and a third wheel that they beat mercilessly (which I usually end up removing)
yes ik i asked for 2females and 1 male and i pointed them out and what do i get 2males UGH im about to see if they will just take the poor beaten up scrawny male
