Sens Learn New Trick!

I was putting some tall, thin rocks in the tank, and decided to try to pet my sens. The large one didn't even seem to notice, while the other one sat still while I stroked his back until my fingernail caught on one of his dorsal fins. It is a good sign that means that they are getting more used to me, IME anyways.

if you touch your bichirs, you'll remove the slime coat that they have, making them more vulnerable to diseases.

^Exactly what I was thinking. I'll admit I couldnt resist giving mine a nudge now and then when they got curious during cleanings, but I wouldnt make a habit of it.

Yeah, it´s ok from time to time, just don´t do it regular.

I don't think it takes much of their slime coat when they're underwater. It might not even take off any.
