recently purchased a male for my female jag..they are both similar size with the male being fractionally bigger..there was at first more aggression from the female understandably as it was her tank!..but now I thought things had calmed down but have noticed the female hiding a fair bit and her tail fin is shredded in places.. The male certainly seems to be acting a lot bolder but tbh they are both quite shy hiding away alot...they are in a 5x2x2 tank with lots of rocks hides etc..should I take her out or see how they go?I tried some dither fish in there,6 tiger barbs, which helped with their shyness but they only lasted 2 days!

I'd go for a divider for now if she is getting quite a beating. I've found out the hard way that conspecific aggression among jags can be pretty nasty and have lost two that way.
