So I plan on making a trip to FL in September. What is the usual weather like around that time? I found online that its right in the middle of hurricane season? What should I prepare for?

Port Canveral would be sorta near where I live. Its hot, we dont really have seasons so just expect it to be warm/hot. Hurricanes come everynow and a few years. I really dont know what to tell you there... a lot of us down here are so used to them its just whatever. They are normally not too bad. Just make sure you have food, water and enjoy spending quality time with the people you are gonna be stuck with when you have no power =]
