Hi guys,
I had a outbreak of septicemia in few of my aquariums and had removed all the fish and bleached all the tanks, decor/ equipment etc for 15+ minutes with 1:19 bleach to water solution.

I did remove the plants (Java ferns & Anubius) and treated them with 1:19 ratio bleach solution for 8-10 min as well, and now the plants are in a temporary bucket for more than 2 weeks. with water changes every 4,5 days.
- is it safe now to add the plants to the aquarium (is the septicemia gone or do I need to keep the plants longer) ?
- is this method of quarantine correct/accurate?
- can septicemia survive in or on plants even after bleach treatment and 2+ week seperation from fish?

Method was good. It depends on what caused the septicemia. I’d add back the plants and media. Restart the tank. Try some feeder fish as test subjects.

Ok cool ?, I think it started with overcrowding one tank and also adding wild caught without quarantining. I know it's my fault but I never had this in any of the aquariums before.
