Septo Bac

Is anyone using the bacteria products marketed for ponds? I'm using the linked product but might prefer something I can just add directly even if it's a little more expensive.

I have pond bacteria on hand as well, linked to in the sticky on this subject, but the term "pond" is pretty general. Lots of different bacteria products out there that have been designed for pond use and they don't all target the same things. Most of it is also pretty concentrated, so like most of these products a little goes a long ways.

IMO SeptoBac is still the most effective that I have tried. I suspect that Rid-X would give similar results as it is designed for the exact same purpose.

I would read the sticky if I was you. As I recall some of these products (I believe including Rid-X) contain certain ingredients that are not exactly organic. It can be like buying ammonia, that contains a surfactant. Several people that were/are using Rid-X posted in that past discussion.

I wonder if this is the same as the one in the picture called nitrobacteria.... supposed to clarify water and decompose waste
