It is offical that I announce my black diamond rhom is a serial pleco/algae eater killer. he had killed all the plecos/algae eaters I added into his tank within hours.
so far there are four common plecos and two otos (thought they are small and can go under his radar but I was wrong) on his victim list. The only survivor is a rubber lip pleco I added in the tank before the black diamond and the reason it's still alive is that it always stays behind the FX5 intake and I never saw it swim more than 1 or 2 inch away from the intake.

I also added six otos and a rubber lip pleco to the blue diamond's tank and he doesn't seem to bother them at all. in fact the oscar ate one of the otos soon after I added them.

Is there any other algae eater I could try cuz I got some brown algae in the tank

yeah that's the difference between serras and pygos I think. Serras are like serial killers that lurk and stalk their prey. I've never kept pygos, so I could be wrong, but most of the videos I've seen of pygos feeding, there's usually one like bigger aggressive fish, he bites the tail, and then the rest of the crew fall in. Serras (at least mine anyway) is more ninja.

Malaysian trumpet snail The Malaysian snail, Melanoides tubercularia, is an interesting creature in that it lives in the substrate during the day and only comes out at night. Its shell is a perfect cone shape and gets to about 2 cm long. It is a livebearing snail and reproduces quite readily. It is considered beneficial to a plant tank and doesn't seen to harm plants, even in large populations. They are hard to find for sale, but usually come for free on plant shipments. If desired, Clown Loaches will keep them and other snails well under control.

I forgot about the snails..they are cool but they breed to fast. and didn't feel like fighting a snail out break after they take care the algae problem.
can't use clown loaches as they will quickly be added to the vicitm list.

I'll consider them as last line of defense.
