Hello to all,
Ive had fish for years now and have a 150 gallon tank with a TSN cat, Lima Shovelnose, 2 oscars and an alligator gar. The gar is a new addition and since last week when I introduced him to the tank he's been going for everything and causing damage to all the fish with his nasty looking teeth. The oscars are big 12inchers and dont seem as badly hit as the lima shovelnose, at about 7 inches, which now has battered fins. The alligator gar is only about 10 inch at the moment.
I am aware of the nature that the alligator gar has and the size he will get, I do have a 1000 gallon heated pond which I hope to introduce him to when he's bigger but at the moment my peacock bass will have him for breakfast. So I need a solution for now.
Any suggestions would be great.
Cheers,
Andy.
