So my kid starts screaming at me that there's something new in my tank. I figured my rockfish got rid of a batch of feeders, lol. But no there's a 7 inch peacock eel swimming around my tank. I remember buying him about six months ago before i converted over to brackish. I guess he's been chilling under the rocks and i just forgot about him. So i guess my question is - He's made it this long, should i change anything now? I'm only at about 1.005 salinity but still going up slowly but surely. Get rid of it or keep it?

yeah he should be fine, i was in petsmart the other day and noticed all there freshwater fish had plastic cups of salt in there when i asked the sales guy about it he said the keep salt in all there freashwater tanks to keep diseases down. so my point is if they can get away with it im sure most fish can stand a lil salt in the water.
Well i guess in the long run i'm aiming for about 1.015 or so, My eel is gonna need full marine but not sure about rockfish and needlenose. I know they are all brackish/marine but they were all purchased as fw. We'll see if he can handle it.- I wonder what he's been eating?
that eel will not live long in such salinity as you are proposing, they are not brackish water fishes at all
