Angling
Without doubt one of the most exciting sporting species amongst the cichlids. They can be caught in every conceivable river environment, over sandy bottom in the middle of the river, near the marginal vegetation close to the banks, in and below the rapids and in very deep water. Spinners, spoons, spinner baits, live bait and worms are all effective. Fly fishing is also very effective at the right times and in the right places.
