Serranochromis

Does anyone know where to get Serranochromis species?

I asked this very same question a while ago. The only one occasionally available is the one that is imported from Lake Malawi. Seems like the rest are merely seen as food fish in their native habitats.

Thats too bad. I keep American cichlids and am not a fan of African species but i would love to set up a tank for an Altus

That was the fish I was interested in as well. Kinda like an altolamprologous on steroids.

Serranochromis robustus are the ones found in Malawi, super rare but they have shown up from time to time on export lists.
