I thought this pic was really cool because it demonstrates why these fish are called compressus. Look how laterally compressed he is:

What do you think?

nice pics man. yea I can see that the compressus is much more compress than my rhom.

too bad you didn't capture any action shots, that would be totally awesome and POTM material.

yeah man I tried I tried. It's just not gonna happen with my camera. I have to use the flash to get any kind of decent picture and that means that I am always snapping a few seconds before the flash bulb goes off. It makes it really hard to catch those action shots.

thanks man. I was trying to get pics of him striking, but it's like trying to take pictures of a fast ball. It's not that my camera can't handle the shutter speed, it's that my reaction time is too slow to hit the button, wait for the flash, and then get the pic. By the time I realize he's about to hit I press the button and it's all over. I'll keep trying.

The first shot I posted was actually the last in chronological order. That tetra was already a snack.

you need to set the camera for multiple exposure shots, not sure if your camera has that function and maybe add additional light on the tank for photograph purpose.

I can't remember how many shots my DSLR can take in 1 second, I think Canon D40 can take 6 pics in 1 second..well you get the idea.
