Hello,

i recently came across the german wikipedia article about Serrasalmus Manueli where it is statet, that there have been fish caught on the lower amazonas, which had reached 24" (60cm).

So far i always thought that either S. Rhombeus or P.Piraya are the two biggest Piranha species, but since both of them are considered to staop at 18-20" this might not be true?

Greetings

Hmm seems to be a really difficult problem since it is not clear if humeralis or manueli is the actual species or if those are two different species. I found a post on FB where an Expeditionist described Humeralis as the biggest serrasalmus of all, but if that's correct...
