So I made a DIY PVC overflow. When I was testing it I couldn't get it to auto siphon after running it and shutting it off, anyone else have this problem. Have a check valve and the tee pipe is taller than the rest. Another issue I had is when i shut the pump off it starts back siphoning. How do I prevent this?

for back siphoning, drill a whole in the top of the inlet from the tank. For the other, did you prime it? You'll need to fill it up first before it will work. Can you post pics of your overflow? that will help identify more accurately what's going on.

Yea it was after i started a siphon, i didnt take a picture, stupid i know lol. I've honestly followed everything I've seen and read, I might try it again, may have been an air bubble or something, I noticed my check valve is flowing water, may be my problem, it could be bad or something.

Ok should I go to the lfs and get better ones. I have a few but they all came with air pumps. And does superglue work to seal it?
