Set up advice please!

Hi everyone,

although i've kept tropical fish and koi before I'm new to monster fish and need advice from people who know....

I've currentley have a 50g tank with an internal filteration system aswell as a canister filter if needed. I'd like to know what type of fish you think I would be best to start off with. I originally came across this forum looking for datnoids but the more I look around the more I like. I'm looking for something that would be good for a novice monster keeper to have.....although I am aware that I will have to get a bigger tank all being well. I just want to start small and gain more and more knowledge.......

Any advice would be greatley appreicated

hmmm
for a 50 gallon a would say some mormyrids
or rainbow snakeheads

Thanks for the advice......how many snakeheads would you recommend together and what would make suitable tankmates?

Also, as far as datnoids go......could I keep a couple of small ones say 2-3" as I've heard they are slow growing and upsize the tank as needed?
