OK, i just got a 6 inch red tail cat tiger shovel nose cat hybrid. It was an anniversary present i got for my one year wedding anniversary. The questions that I have are... I have it in a 55 gallon tank. I am planning on moving it to my 500gallon tank but that tank i am using right now to attempt to breed plecos in. How big can he get in the 55 before I have to move him. And how long will it take for him to reach that size. Also... is there any way to tell what sex it is. And lastly... how big will it get full grown and how long does it take to reach full size? And for all of you who are proud owners of these fish. do you have any tips or advise for a newer owner? or maybe some pics of what it will look like grown up? Its already my favorite fish, and is truly beautiful. So any advise, tips, stories, or suggestions on anything that would give my new baby a happier life would be awesome!!! especially on details for the tank set up!!! Thanks all!
