set up for peacock bass

I have a 125 GAL. tank and I am wanting to put some peacocks in it. Is this big enough? I was thinking about 3 of them but not sure how many fish i can put with them or if I should just have the peacocks only. Any and all info would be great.

well u wouldent be able to keep them in that forever they need a 250+ when adults for the smaller species

Get some little ones and enjoy them until you think they need a bigger tank. You will love p-bass but i have to warn you--it gets addictive

yeh i also want peacock bass but my 250gal is already set up with cichlids, but if they ever go straight away theres gonna be peacock bass

Can't keep them for life in there. But you can raise them for a while. When keeping Cichla you can never get enough..

What would be the best peacock to get?? I like the Cichla ocellaris but I think that is the bigger one.

no ocellies along with mono's are the two smaller ones they get around 2'

Most Cichla get around the same 24" mark.. With the exception of Intermedia which get 18-20" and Temensis which get 40".

Best Cichla for you would probably be Orinocensis you will get to enjoy them longer. As they are one of the slower growing Cichla.
