I just aquired a 29 gal tank like the set up ones from wal mart and i wanted to have a nice planted tank... what else would i need to make it a complete planted tank wehre plants will thrive

Good substrate, good fertilizers, light and for the added 'thrive' C02. Best to decide on plants you want first and gear the setup towards them.
