setting up a 20 gal and need suggestions for fish

my brother is setting up a 20 gal tank and keeps bugging wanting to know what fish to keep in it. he wants quite a few fish in it even tho its only 20 gallons. what do you guys think? hes new to fish keeping keep in mind

Rams are good choice ... Bolivian Rams might be easier for a nube ...

I dont know why, but I find Rams boring compared to Apistos...

I do agree, I had a fraternity of 3 male bolivians in my 37 gallon, and while they were peaceful and nice to look at, they weren't all that interesting. They would stick to their own areas, once in a while one would drift into the others' area and get chased out. That's it... A breeding pair would definitely be interesting to watch, but I'm sure there are other species that are more interesting... perhaps apistos or kribs
