at the moment i've got a 50 litre tank set up, i'm going to take it down and replace it with a 150 litre tank is it possible to use all the water from the 50 litre tank and put it in the bigger tank so that i don't have to cycle it?

i was thinking i could put everything in the bigger tank gravel, bogwood and plants and use the same set up (filter, heaters and light).would that be alright? just wanting to set it up as quickly as possible as i will be getting another pleco and my tank is not big enough.

The water doesn't hold near as much of the Beneficial bacteria your looking for as the filter media from the existing filter does. Even if you upgraded filters for the larger tank just take the old media and put it in the new filter and you'll be set.

i would'nt need to up grade filters because it does 500 litres an hour so i don't think it will be a problem:)
