Hey im about to set up a 8x3x3 native british tank i have 2 chillers and filtration will be 2 fx5's and efx 1500u.
was just wondering what people would recommend for decore eg bog wood plants? and stocking etc also what substrate would you guys recommend i want some green tench apart form that idk what else i want. ideas / imput please???

Why you need a chiller for? Most UK natives would do fine at room temperature. Gudgeons, bullhead (not the catfish one, the scuplin one!), Stone Loach, bitterlings, sticklebacks, European minnows and bleak makes a nice community tank. But if you want large fish (I noticed you mentioned a green tench) then theres a bream, rudd, orfe, chub, dace, roach, ruffe and European perch makes good tankmates for a tench.

Attention Americans: chubs/dace/bream/bullhead is different fish from the North America!

thanks guys and i had the chillers left over form an old marine tank so just had them if needed wasn't planning on using them unless suggested. any suggestions for substrate?

Chub grow too big and are too active for that size tank, and european minnows do need current and cool water, but apart from that, go for it! :)
