Hello everyone, I am building a 1000 gallon plywood tank and am looking for a catfish to go along with my cichlids. I should be finished with putting it together within the next month. Currently I have a 150 stocked with 1 JD, 1 Managuense, 1 Senegal Bichir, 1 Gibby Pleco, 1 3-spot Gourami & 1 Butti (all around 2"). The JD is the dominant one and the 3-spot is next, don't worry he's not going in the 1000. What other stocking ideas do you guys suggest, I was considering a Festae female, maybe a RD (if I can find one with those lips) in there. LOL. If you guys see any problems let me know cause I can switch everyone around, nothings written in stone. I am use to 50% wc weekly and already have a Nu-Clear 530 and a Ocean Clear canister for the setup. Thanks again.

Good luck with the built. Catfish... Stay away from a rtc. Maybe TSN. Green terror. Sometype of Vieja. Some clown loaches. It's a curve ball with the RD because of their aggression.

Thanks S1C, I suspected that about the RTC but what about an Asian cause I see them online for under $10 with 15 shipping. I really wanted a TSN but the only ones I see locally are already over 2' and online the prices are ok but shipping rates are what get me, $40 and up shipping is what I could spend on something else.
BTW don't GT's grow real slow, I know Festaes do, almost as slow as dats, that was another that I was considering.
Yes you are right gt to grow slow. Are you looking for other aggressive cochlids?
