Ok so i have a 180 upstairs thats been running for years, Giant sump with large flo rates and a comm of asian arowana,
I just set up a 300 gallon downstairs and started cycling 5-6 days ago. Im using stability, took a bunch of bio media from the 180 sump as well as 1/2 the sand to seed the new tank.
I have 10 fish in the 300 right now and 6 aros in the 180 at present.....
I just started thinking about this..... should i keep cycling for another week before i move them all in or is my taking bio from the old tank going to cause a bit of amonia spike in each now?
I also have an auto drip water changer on the 300 that is changing 30-40 gallons a day if that helps?
I guess my ? is would i be better off to move them all into the 300 now or keep cycling it and do more water changes on the 180?
Thanks for the help bro's

If it helps, the 300 has 4 10" tinfoil barbs, 2 red tail giant gourami, 4 silver aro's 1 redtail cat and a rainbow shark 8" Im also using prime added twice a week just in case...

zero in both with traces of nitrites in each, but i know there is a spike to be had in the 180 seeing as i stole half the bio and sand.... i also dropped the bio load a bunch but still..... Im thinking the auto water changer would make it almost safer for me to move em

The PH is a bit of a jump.... the 180 is at 6 and the 300 is at 8.... city water is 8 and with the changer thats just where its stuck now....
Ive buffered the 180 to 7 now getting ready for the move so they are already a bit cranky..... :)
