I have an extra 55 that I want to set up. I either want a solo fish or a pair that are around the 8 to 10" mark full grown. Looking for options on said fish. I want something that will respond to me. I miss my flower horn bit can't have a 75. I would also consider a 40 breeder. I really want a green terror but think they get to big.

Sorry should have mentioned my current set up has 6 Honduran red points in it 2 males and 4 females. I will look into the suggestions you made, I also love carpintis but I think they would outgrow the tank or at least feel cramped. I also like JD's but don't know if this set up would be appropriate. I could keep out any extra driftwood ect and just do my pot caves.

Looked at a few other fish, so many options but it's hard to choose because of the different projected sizes around the web, so first hand experience would be appreciated.
