Setting up a sump, have a few questions.

Where is the best place to purchase pump?

Where can I get filter media in bulk?

check out drs foster and smith. They have a ton of pumps and media and i think a sale going on as well. lots of good pumps out there: rio, quiet one, mag drive etc...

1)I went with laguna because of the reliability and lower power usage stats I found looking around.
2)got it from amazon.

Thinking of Mag 12, 1200 gallons per hour. This would be on a 210 with 4 foot height.
Anyone use quiets?

I have a couple quiet ones like 1017 gph and they aren't bad, depending on stock u might want to think of more flow if this is your only/main filtration. As for media, I found seachem pond matrix 20L bucket at lfs for 99 and that can handle a ton of bio and works excellent fully submerged.

It will be my only filtration for the 210. Its pre drilled with two overflows.

The sump is a 40 gallon three stage. I am not worried about too much flow.
