Awerite lissin here, Im fixin t'learn you!
Just kidding.
Seriously, look for about 5+turn over. In other words, for a 110, you should try and get 550gph IN the tank. NOT WHAT THE PUMP PUMPS AT 0 HEAD PRESSURE, BUT WHAT IT IS ACTUALLY DUMPING INTO THE TANK.
Let me give you an example. Superpump Pump Company says their Pro model will pump 500gph. But in actual reality, they tested it at 0 head pressure. Add 4-6ft of water filled pipe, a couple bends and a few fittings and what actually is ending up in the tank is more like 350gph.
So, if you are looking for a 5x turnover, which, by the way, is considered industry standard but more is considered better, look for a pump that will pump 550gph at 4-6' head pressure.
I have a CPR202 that allows about 1600gph through it and it is silent, low profile and easy to set up. Love it.
