Setting up brackish

I have a moray eel thats been kept in fresh water I need to add .002 salinity every week but my hydro meter stars a 1.000 can anyone tell me how much .002 would be. Like would it be 2 tablespoons to a gallon. I read that trolling the internet but not sure if thats right. Iam totally confused and I want to help my guy live a long life.

You need to get an Instant Ocean hydrometer. It starts at zero. I had the same problem and coudn't find one locally. I had to order it online and spend as much on shipping as I did on the product itself.
