Setting up first W/D sump

I am finally setting up my W/D sump. I have a Eheim 1260 Pump and a Eshoppes PF-800 overflow. I made a sump out of a 30 gal tank useing pot scrubbies as media. Is there anything else i need to do to this besides plug it in and let it establish BB?

... build a cover ... otherwise... No. Looks good.

Reduces evaporation and the smell which your significant other is destine to complain about...

my wife doesnt have a sense of smell since she has been with me.......i drink alot of guinness lol
