I am setting up my new glass 72x30x18 tank within the next couple of weeks and I have a few questions. Since I made a diy stand, it is not 100% perfect on the surface where the tank sits, I will be working as hard as I can to get it to be, but I know that isnt really realistic. So I was wondering if it would be best to use some styrotfoam and if so is it the pink stuff? I am going to put some 3/4" birch plywood over the cedar frame, but I am still concerned about some type of seam burst or blowout. Any suggestions?

I have built all the stands for all my previous and present Aquariums.
None were perfect. But I used foam on them all and none ever blew out or settled un-level.
I have seen the Pink foam and the Blue foam used on many tanks here with no problem.

I personally use 1" white foam on all my tanks. Same stuff used to insulate garage doors. But it comes in a sheet of 8x4
