Setting up the new tank soon. I wanna make sure I get it right this time.
I starting read the filteration media guide that was a sticky post. I noticed that the guy that is letting me borrow his tank has one of these:
Bio-Wheels
Surface area/cu.ft.: ?
Upsides:Supposedly house a super concentrated bacteria colony.Wet/Dry design.
Downsides:Very high Evaporation.Somewhat of a price factor involved.
Overall:Used with succes on smaller HOB's but not widely used in conjunction with sumps (unless you have a tidepool sump).Thought about adding one to my sump.

And just down from that it was posted that live plants are also good for the tank. I have some sort of live plant that I recently bought and placed in the small tank my GSPs are in now. Should I buy more than the one bunch that I have now to add to the new tank? It is a green leafy plant. I think it is called wisteria, but I am not sure.
Also I have rocks in the tank, is that the best substrate for my boys?
