Hi Guys, has anybody tried a settling chamber before the filter media in a large tank? I have a couple of wood-chewing catfish among many other fish,(with wood) in a very large tank. I have to wash the filter wool every day and change it every week and the time and cost all adds up! Surely it's possible to get the dirt etc to settle somehow so it can be easily run or siphoned off. Any ideas?
