I always wanted to have a planted tank setup. So im breaking down all my other setups, and focusing on a planted tank. I need all the help and advice i can get. It's gonna be between 30g to 40g glass tank. I wanted to know whats a decent co2 injection system. I have a ADA store in my area, but that place is my last resort. So please help me thanks Mfkers.

whats your budget?

i guess my budget would be around $300-400.00. not including fishes.

is this just for the co2 system? you can get a really good setup for much less than:

- Sumo regulator w/ all the bells and whistels (some of the best): $175
- 5lb co2 bottle: $60
- DIY reactor: $25
- light timers: $15

and there you have it!

i'm still in the market for a glass fish tank around 30-40g. i was wondering if anyone has ever converted a biocube or nano cube into a planted fish tank. i know that they have wet an dry with bio balls. so it defeats the purpose of having co2, the wet and dry disolves/ deminishes the co2. So please help me out. i know its a long shot.

CO2 can be used successfully with a wet dry/sump set up. Just find a way to plumb the CO2 into the return line.

If you can't just increase the CO2 by adjusting the needle valve.

I bought a new tank yesterday, its a 40 gallon glass wide tank. 36"x15.5"x17". my plan was to not setup co2 injection system yet, i just want to make a low maintence tank with a t5 glo fixture with, and excel as co2 substitute for now. Will this work, and what wattage should i get for the t5 glo 39w or 78w. Or any other lighting system for my budget around $100.00. thanks again
