Okay i got a 125g tank with two 300 watt heaters{2much?} albino oscar 3inch,jag 3-4in,two albino tinfoils barbs 3in, two silver dollars 3in, suncat 5-6in, common pleco 3in, pleco unknown brown with black blotches 3in, and a queen arabasque pleco 3in.... do you guys think this setup will work? if what would recommend? everyone get along great by the way

hopefully your Jag will not kill your Oscar when it matures, and hopefully your Tinfoils and SDs will school together. 2 of each really is not enough for schooling fish but sometimes these species will school together. Personally I think you have too many plecos. A common can get huge.

i had tin-foil barbs (x2) in with my silver dollars (x5) they was fine at a small size, when they got to about 4inch the barbs ripped the silver dollars fins to bits.
but then that was just mine, yours could be fine, iv had them in with each other in the past and all was good, who know's.

my opinion....get rid of the tinfoils and get 4-5 more silver dollars. move the queen arab. to another, smaller tank with smaller tankmates. as my understanding goes these plecs don't get very big (4-5" tops from what I've read) and aren't the easiest to feed either, especially with hungry cichlids around.
next, get rid of the other 2 plecos and get a gibbiceps/sailfin plec. these also get big but I've always read 18" tops whereas commons can grow much larger. also I'd get rid of the jag and add some type of severum and a chocolate cichlid. there is a chance that the jag in a 125 could get along with the oscar, but it's a very, very slim chance imo.

I think im gna get a smaller tank for the silver dollars and the q. arabsque and put them in with maybe tetras in a 30 or 40 gallon.... ima get one more tinfoil but keep the two other plecos in the 125.....sound like a good idea???? ima keep the oscar and jag 2gether cuz they are two of the best specimens ive ever seen. and has anyone seen albino oscar with black fins???? looks great

u dont need that much heat you need like 300 total i have a 125 heater in my wet/dry, and than i havea 200 in my main tank...neither is really on for which is really surprizing.

you can try to keep the oscar and jag together, but keep a very close eye on them especially when the jag gets to around 7-8" because that's when they're true aggression will come out and the jag may decide he/she wants the whole tank to itself. be prepared with a backup plan to be able to move one of them out in a hurry if the need arises.
also, you're wanting to keep an oscar (potential 12-14"), a jag (12-16" or more), 3 tinfoil barbs (12-13" each) and 2 plecs which are most likely commons (18" or a lot bigger). that's just too many big fish for a 125 imo. that's why I recommend the large oscar, another medium sized cichlid or 2 (somewhere in the 6-10" range) and a group of silver dollars. that will give all the fish adequate swimming space without overcrowding the tank as each fish reaches their adult size. it will also help prevent you from having to do 70% water changes 3 times or more a week when they all get to adult size to keep water params in check. it's your tank so you will do what you want but I think you're in for trouble if you go with your plan.
I agree with Jason 100%. I'm reading this thread and just feeling sorry for that Oscar. I don't blame you for wanting a Jag, it's the 1 fish I desperately want but there comes a time when you have to be responsible and do the right thing for the fish.
