What's your guy's florida gar setups look like? Or the better question might be what would a natural tank setup look like for them. Sand, driftwood, plants, etc. Thanks, want them to feel at home as possible.

My Gar likes to rest a lot.
On the gravel, next to a big piece of wood.
Or he's hanging round in my fake hanging-floating plants. They are good gar material!
He likes to roam around the plecocaves.
Got your Plecos in the same tank?
If yes, they may be trouble, those suckers.
Mine work out fine with my Gar.

Yeah my 2 are either at the top or just lying on the ground. Some floating plants would help alot and maybe a few fake plants on the bottom would make them feel at home. Maybe go to live plants later depending if they like these.
I have a 5 inch pleco with mine. I didn't know they tried to suck on the gars. But then again they are 14 and 12 inches. Haven't seen any damage yet.
