my little 10 gallon is cycling right now and im kinda going for the amazon biotope look.

I just got some driftwood and its ready to go in and i want the tannis for the brown water look and hopefully it will lower my Ph a bit.

now would it hurt anything in the cycling process if I take the carbon out now and replace it with more biomass or just take the carbon out and just leave it like that for now and add biomass after it has cycled

Whats my options here guys?

Either way won't hurt the cycling process. If I were you, I'll remove the carbon and add more bio-media. With bio-media, there cant never be too much [to a sensible point]

By biomass you mean bio media?

If you want an Amazon/blackwater biotope I'd take any activated carbon out of your filters and leave it out. Carbon isn't at all necessary, and if you want tannins in your water you definitely don't want carbon.
Any empty space left by the removal of the carbon may as well be filled with bio media.

You can take the carbon out now and add the biomax. Actual I think it is a good ideal.
